Laura is a singer, composer and performance artist. She is one of the courageous and cosmopolitan voices of a new generation of artists and works at the interface of creative contemporary music, jazz and neo-classical and performance art. Since 2019, Laura has been working increasingly interdisciplinary, exploring the boundaries of genre, language, electronic sound and avant-garde poetry using visual projection, live electronics and sound design. In addition to her artistic work, she researches body and voice training and seeks ways to cultivate a greater awareness of the health (mental and physical) of artists. Her works move in a broad sound and creative spectrum such as u. "Tempetes du Printemps" (UA t.b.a.), a setting of post-war poems for orchestra; "Cocon" (UA 2022, Delle Donne Consort, Pianofabriek, Brussels) a neo-classical work for flute quartet and live electronics or "The only dream worth heaving" (UA 2022, Ensemble Innsaei, De Broie, Ghent) an interdisciplinary dance performance that reflects on current socio-political topics and philosophical questions. Next to her career as a performer she developed various skills of communication, management and project planning and is a body and voice coach.
